GET UP!!!

I've met a lot of people to date and I discovered that there is a particular mindset some of these people have about Life and leadership. When I talk about leadership, the response I get that makes me chuckle most goes something like this " Well, when I become a leader,I will read articles about leadership"

How do you become the person you desire to be??You start now to adopt the thinking, learn the skills and develop the habits of the person you wish to be. Its a mistake to daydream of one day when you will be ontop when you ought to prepare yourself for what you will be tomorrow. Remember, when opportunity comes,it will be too late to prepare. So if you want to be a successful leader,learn how to lead before you have a leadership position.

Becoming a good leader is a life long learning process. If you don't try out your leadership skills and decision making process when the stakes are small and the risks are low,you are likely to get into trouble at higher levels when the cost of mistake is high,the impact is far reaching and the exposure is greater. Mistakes made on a small scale can be easily overcome but mistakes made when you are at the top damages a leader's credibility.

So its better you set out now because sooner or later you will see how much your leadership skill will be needed. Why wait till you become 30?? Don't you know you lead your life?? You have people that look up to you for inspiration. What way would you direct them if you don't have the skills??

Sooner or later,you will get married and have kids. That already is a leadership responsibility because your children will only follow the footsteps of that which they were thought. So don't wait till you are announced the head. Get up!!! Look for a way to better someone's life. Look for that child or subordinate that you can render help or advice to. Life is all about leadership because no matter where you are or who you are,you always have some one that looks up to you. So GET UP!!!
